This session brings government leaders, implementers, healthcare professionals, researchers, and donors to examine innovations driving impact towards national SDG 3 and Every Woman Every Newborn Everywhere targets.
High-quality data are foundational for health, yet hospitals in sub-Saharan Africa often lack timely, actionable data in the formats needed. National data from Household Surveys are shifting to aggregate (e.g., DHIS2) yet need rapid shifts to individual-level to track impact, coverage, and quality of clinical care, plus inputs. The electronic data transition is an opportunity, but also a threat if not integrated into national systems. Data are no use if not used, e.g., in facility/national dashboards. How can data innovations drive real change at scale for accelerated maternal and child health progress in Africa?
This session includes future casting talks, a panel, and then experiential networking to move to faster, smarter, scalable MNH information systems across Africa.
