This satellite session will launch the first-ever regional stillbirth report in Africa: The State of Africa's Stillbirths. Despite accounting for nearly half of the world's 1.9 million stillbirths annually, these deaths remain neglected and invisible. The launch event will feature a keynote address, report overview, interactive audience engagement, and a global panel with diverse voices, including policymakers, bereaved parents, health professionals, academics, and UN partners. The second part will include an interactive consultation to inform The Lancet's upcoming Stillbirth Series. Participants will join small group discussions on four key themes: political integration, socio-cultural beliefs, practical solutions for prevention, and bereavement care. Groups will be facilitated to identify key challenges, opportunities, and priority actions. Organizers will ensure inclusive participation across regions and sectors, with parent voice embedded in each discussion. Group feedback will contribute to shaping global priorities, advocacy, and investment for stillbirth prevention and respectful care globally.
