Lancet Newborn Series: Impact, Innovations, Implementation, Investment to inform acceleration for neonatal survival and preventing stillbirths

Session Information

•This preformed panel session will be a research dissemination event for the 2026 Lancet Newborn Series. Speakers, including lead authors of the Series papers, will share new data and evidence on progress at national and global level, lessons learned, and pivots needed for more investment and implementation at scale. Content will include multi-country trends and progress scorecards, meta-analyses of intervention effectiveness, modeling of lives saved and costs for intervention scale-up, and in-depth country-level bottleneck analysis. •A panel discussion featuring an interactive talkshow format will then highlight synthesis from the last decade for how to go faster for neonatal survival and preventing stillbirths for the remaining time horizon of the SDGs and beyond.
