What incentivizes quality MNH commodities?

Session Information

Despite widespread emphasis on "quality MNH commodities," there is little consensus on what quality truly means - let alone how to ensure equitable access in low-resource settings. Too often, global health efforts overlook the market dynamics that incentivize - and disincentivize - quality. This panel brings together diverse perspectives to unpack those dynamics and explore how misaligned incentives contribute substandard products circulating in our markets. Through candid discussions, panelists will share real-world challenges and opportunities for improving coordination and transparency. The session will spotlight how better data, smarter procurement, and stronger stewardship can shift the market toward improved quality for all women and babies.
